Well, I guess my frugal ideas have worn off on my daughter (thankfully) because she made such a cute Valentine's gift for her boyfriend:
The jar is filled with strips of red and white paper, each one hand written with reasons she loves him. She tied a red and white gingham ribbon around the jar and decorated the lid with a sharpie marker with "Why I Love You". She's making him dinner at home and spent $5.00 for a box of candy and a teddy bear. Probably the best Valentine's Day he'll ever have!
