Today is the birthday of the tornado. Of course, there have probably been tornadoes since the beginning of time, however the first tornado ever recorded occurred near New Haven, Connecticut in 1682 on this date. It touched down in early afternoon and it is reported that there were no deaths resulting from this tornado..
